school is over!

Well, its been forever since I've posted.  any one who goes to school with me knows that I have been so insanely busy this past semester - I over-committed myself a little - Joshua squad officer, Alpha Psi Omega officer, in two shows, and 21 academic credit hours.  Yeah, I learned my lesson though.

School is over!  I am so happy.  I need a break.  I am going to India on a Joshua Squad mission trip on Monday.  Please pray!

thanks

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!  Hooray.  Right now, my family and I are in VA with some family friends.  We got here Thursday night after driving the 12 hours from Birmingham to Leesburg.   Yesterday we went into D.C.  On the way back to our friends house we started walking back. after walking in a nearly complete circle my Dad decided that he didn't know where our car was (he had dropped us off at the WWII memorial while he parked the car.)  We did find the car after going the opposite direction, and only walked for about a mile and a half (maybe two).  Of course our little adventure wasn't over - Dad passed the on ramp to the interstate as well.  Well, hope everyone had a great holiday weekend, and I can't wait until I see all of you again.

Ok,  I was feeling a little down and depressed about my Christmas break this year, so I decided to list some of the awesome things that have happened since I finished the semester, to cheer myself up.
  • I passed all of my classes
  • Lauren gave me a ride back to my parents' and we had a lot of fun in the car on the way
  • I have a cell phone so I can call friends even if I can't see them right now
  • I don't have a lot of pressure to be getting things done
  • I've been able to sleep in!
  • There is a really beautiful path I've been jogging on.
  • The food tastes good (I was soooo sick of Belhaven food)
  • Taylor and I drove around for an hour looking for the library and never actually found it
  • I got a new pair of black heels
  • I got a couple of new books
  • I've had time to practice piano
Now one of the best:
When we were decorating the Christmas tree, Abby dropped one of her ornaments and went to her room to cry about it.  I went to comfort her, and after cuddling her for a few minutes was actually able to make her laugh playing a game with her and her giant stuffed butterfly.  It was soooo wonderful to just have her smiling up at me, and looking so glad to have me home.
Merry Christmas everyone - I have so much going for my Christmas break already - I hope that you have at least as good of a time.

Hooray!  I am completely done with finals - no more tests or schoolwork in 2005!  Yiiiiipppeeeeeeee!  Lol.  I also (finally) got to see Narnia tonight.  3 days in a row last week I almost went and then didn't.  But I absolutely loved it!  It was incredible.  Beautifully filmed, I liked most of the slight changes they made to adapt to the screen.  I guess my main criticism would be of the white witch's costume and hairstyle.  I didn't like those.  And I think I will have to see it again to see if I like the director's interpretation of her character.  The makeup was great, though.  The whole movie was great.  I loved the relationship between Mr. Tumnus and Lucy.  Yes, after the movie we bought icecream and hung out in the Helen White lobby.  It was really great, an awesome way to end a semester.

Two exams this morning.  Hooray!!!! I am done with worldview classes for the semester.  Only one semester and a class to go...  For those of you who aren't at Belhaven, worldview is the general education wester civilization, lit, art, and music history classes.  Guess what it focuses on?  The way worldviews shape hist., art, lit., music and the way worldviews change.  I don't have to talk about worldviews at all though, for another month!  Hooray!  The toaster in the cafeteria is working again, and they have new toasters - another great thing.
Yeah, this isn't very coherent, but right now, I am just sitting up, making sure I stay awake to go to the store once my suitemates get back from dinner.  I need to buy juice.  You see, I simply cannot survive exam week without juice.  my roommate doesn't believe this, but I assure you its very true.  I am not sure how I would perish if I didn't get juice, but I know that it would happen.
I don't think I'll do anymore studying today.  My hope for the rest of the day consist of nap, Theatre dept. Christmas party, and maybe going to Narnia
